DIY Reef Controller

If you are interested in electronics, this looks like it would be a great way to learn about micro-controllers and save some money at the same time.

Wow. Open source controller software. What a great idea. If only I had more time....I'd love to build the controller and help with the software, but it is very time consuming.

I was just looking for a project to keep my mind sharp, and ran across the page. I used to do allot of bench prototyping before I got into Network Engineering, but I never had done much programming, so I thought this would be a great way to learn.

If you want to build your own micro-controller and other boards, you can save a few bucks with the Freeduino project kits.

I just ordered one...
