Can someone please tell me what the little bubbles around these tube worms are. They almost look and feel like glass.

it looks like green bubble algae to me. an emerald crab is supposed to eat that for you, but I've heard that they're not always very reef friendly.

ive had and have emerlad crabs they ate the algae and havent bothered my corals but have heard stories of them being a little destructive maybe im just lucky (it would be a first )

That is bubble algae and those tube worms look like "snake polyps" They are a type of zoanthid called Isaurus polyps.

Speaking of worms (and things that aren't worms) what do you think about vermetid gastropods? I know they're good as "filter feeders" but I'm not a big fan of the webs. They seem to irritate some stuff. What do you recommend? I have a fairly large one that can extend its mucous web pretty extensively in my 18.

I usually try to get rid of them.I do have a few that are still alive because if the corals they are growing on.
