my smallest chromis found its way into the corner overflow of my 90RR. its been there for @ least 36 hours and seems perfectly fine. swimming around like nothing is amiss (it is realy small).

Ive tried a net, too short/cramped. i tried flexable hose fed down the overflow in hopes to suck it out. hoped it'd get lazy and get sucked down the durso to the relative safety of the sump like a six-line wrasse once did (i found him 3 weeks after id thought he died hiding in the rubble of the sump).

any suggestions on any possible way to get this fish without removing the durso and draining the overflow???

I have always used a hose but you mentioned this didn't work. I use a 3/4"ID hose.

Two days ago I had a peppermint shrimp trapped in my overflow. I didn't rip it apart, I just drained it to about one inch of water and scooped him out with my hand. You could try that if your arm will fit past the durso. Good luck.

you could turn your pumps off and put a net under the return in the sump then pull the return out of the overflow when all the water rushes out so should the chromis unless its like the neon goby that stuck to the side when i did this and is still living happily in my overflow 6 weeks later

good luck
